Jonathan Woodgate, the Middlebrough central defender will miss England’s Euro 2008 qualifier, to be held next month in Estonia, due to knee surgery. Pressure has been building on coach Steve McClarensince a disappointing run of results left England fourth in the group. Woodgate will play Boro's final game of the season against Fulham. England have a friendly match against Brazil on June 1, as a warm-up for the Estonia game. The second round of qualifying matches will begin from June 2 and end by November 21.
