Danish Football Association selects Aarhus for next two Euro qualifiers

The Danish Football Association (DBU) has announced that Denmark’s next two Euro qualifiers will be played at Aarhus as it was banned from playing at the national arena in Copenhagen after a recent euro qualifier match. The match was abandoned by German referee Herbert Fandel in Copenhagen Parken Stadium in the 90th minute with the scores level at 3-3. Herbert had awarded a penalty to Sweden and given a red card to Poulsen when a drunken fan ran onto the pitch and assaulted him. The match was abandoned with score Sweden-Denmark( 3-0). UEFA also fined the DBU 50,000 Swiss francs (40,000 dollars). Christian Poulsen was banned for three competitive internationals. Poulsen, 27, missed out on Denmark's recent 2-0 qualifying win at Latvia, and will miss out the return match in Sweden on September 8 and the home match against Liechtenstein four days later.
